Imaginary posters for Internazionale Kids
I had the pleasure of taking a short online course in Illustration,
taught by Mimaster teachers and in collaboration with Internazionale Kids

Internazionale Kids is a monthly magazine for children and young teens,
it collects articles and insights from all around the world.

The goal of the course was to create motivational posters with catchy pay off for the center page
of the magazine (posters that kids could enjoy hanging in their rooms or classrooms).

After several feedbacks with teachers, these were my proposals.
"Today I'm off" - As a society, we increasingly address the importance of “disconnecting,” of taking a break from technology from technology. I think
we need to discuss this even more when applied to kids: I see children completely sucked in by the screens of phones and tablets, and it's quite sad.
"Disposable? I don't use you" - The issue of single-use plastics is as relevant as ever. The EU is working to ban products such as plastic
plates, cutlery and cups, replacing them with biodegradable products. I think kids need to be involved as much as possible in this transition.
"I'll smile when I feel like it" - We live in a performative world where one must always be happy, funny, or entertained. It seems there's e no place
for emotions such as sadness or boredom, but these feelings aren't negative, indeed they are formative and their value should be taught.
Other preparatory drafts for posters later discarded...
Another assignment for the course was to make web comics depicting embarrassing moments from our childhood. If you'd like to check them out you can find them on my Instagram page!
Thanks!
